Follow these steps to setup your Android smart phone for Google Pay™ App:
Update your device software.
Download the Google Pay™ app.
Add your HBZ Debit/Credit Card:
- Take a picture of your card or enter the card details.
- Verify additional information.
- Accept Terms and Conditions.
- Enter the Authentication Code and Submit
Open the Google Pay™ and set up a screen lock.
Turn on NFC, required for in-store purchases.
Verify your Card if needed.
To setup your smart watch, follow these steps:
Awake your Smartwatch.
Execute Google Pay™ app.
Select “Get started”.
Set up screen lock (if required).
Add your HBZ Debit/Credit Card, follow the instructions on your smartwatch.
Look for the Card to appear on your Smartwatch.
This will add Card to the Google Pay™ app on the watch (not your phone), thus upon adding card(s)
successfully on your watch, phone is not required.
NOTE: To perform setup through desktop, refer to "pay.google.com".
Follow these steps to pay through your smartphone:
Awake (or unlock your device as set by you by entering PIN, passcode, pattern or fingerprint) the mobile device.
Hold it near the contactless reader until it beeps/vibrates.
Watch for the checkmark on the screen ensuring the payment is executed.
To make purchases using a smartwatch, follow these steps:
Open Google Pay™ on a watch.
Hold your watch over the contactless reader until it sounds/vibrates.
Choose 'Credit' (if required), regardless of your type of card.
Enter a PIN (set while adding a bank) in case of a debit card.
To make purchases using Google Pay™ NFC option:
Set "Google Pay™" as a default payment wallet.
Browse to: Settings -> Connections -> NFC and Payment.

How do I add my Debit/Credit card to Google Pay™?
Simply open the Google Pay™ app and add your card by following the on-screen instructions. Upon load, your card will activate automatically.
How do I remove a card from Google Pay™?
To remove a card from Android, select Google Pay™. Next, touch the card you want to remove and select ‘More.’ Then, simply touch ‘Delete Card.’ You will need to confirm by selecting ‘Delete.’ Confirm the card deletion again with your fingerprint or by touching PIN and entering the four-digit code.
Is Google Pay™ secure?
Yes. Google Pay™ is secure because it processes transactions through a tokenisation service. This service replaces a card’s primary account number with a random numerical sequence unique to a specific device, merchant, transaction type or channel. Actual account numbers are not stored on the device, or on mobile servers, and cashiers will no longer see your name, credit card number or card security code, helping to reduce potential fraud.
What is the process at the checkout with Google Pay™?
At checkout, unlock your device and hold near the contactless terminal. Your device will beep or vibrate, followed by an on-screen confirmation.
