March 1, 2017
Important Announcement: Implementation of new transaction codes by UAECB.
As per UAE Central Bank, with effect from 01/04/2017 all banks are required to
incorporate a set of new "Transaction Type codes" for all AED payments through
Central Bank's Funds Transfer System.
Any applications received without proper codes will be rejected. Similarly any
incoming AED payment received without proper transaction code will be automatically
rejected upon receipt.
Effective 01/06/17 same codes will also be required for all inward and outward
international funds transfers.
In view of this change we have amended our Funds Transfer Application which will
list all the available codes provided by the UAE Central Bank.
The new application will be available from any of our branch. Alternately you
can download this application from the Download Center of our website
www.habibbank.com after 15/03/17.
We strongly recommended that you use our Funds Transfer Application to avoid
delays or rejection. We also request you to inform all your business partners
and counterparties to please include appropriate transactions codes in all
remittances favoring your account to avoid rejection.
We thank you for banking with us and assure you of our best services at all
times.
