Position Summary
Drive the acquisition and growth of company accounts, ensuring a strong focus on low-cost deposit mobilisation. Build and maintain trusted relationships with corporate clients, gaining a clear understanding of their banking needs and delivering tailored financial solutions that add value. Champion initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to the bank’s profitability, while ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently, compliantly, and in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition:
- Acquire 10–15 new company accounts per month, driving the growth of the corporate client base
- Achieve quarterly deposit inflows of KES 50M–100M, with a strong focus on low-cost deposits (CASA)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market mapping, referrals, and networking
Relationship Management:
- Manage a portfolio of 100+ active company accounts within the first year
- Deepen client relationships by cross-selling transaction banking, digital solutions, and trade finance products
- Conduct regular client visits and reviews to ensure satisfaction, retention, and value delivery
Portfolio Growth & Retention:
- Grow the portfolio’s deposit base by 10–20% year-on-year
- Monitor account activity to identify and address dormancy or attrition risks proactively
- Ensure high levels of client engagement and exceptional service delivery
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Maintain strict adherence to internal policies, KYC/AML standards, and all regulatory requirements
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date client documentation and records at all times
Reporting & Insights:
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on acquisition performance, deposit growth, and pipeline progress
- Provide market insights and client feedback to support product development and strategic planning
Areas of Expertise
- In-depth understanding of banking products, particularly CASA (Current and Savings Accounts), trade finance, and digital channels
- Strong network and business connections within the Mombasa or Nairobi business community

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
- Self-driven and target-oriented approach to work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in corporate or SME banking, with a proven track record in sales and relationship management
