Mohamedali R. Habib has been a member of Habib Bank AG Zurich’s General Management since 2011, when he served as the Group’s Joint President and Divisional Head of Asia Business. He has been the Group Chief Executive Officer since 2016. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Habib Bank Zurich (Hong Kong) Limited since 2006.
Mohamedali R. Habib served as Executive Director of HABIBMETRO, a subsidiary of Habib Bank AG Zurich in Pakistan, from 2004 to 2011. Since then, he has continued to serve as a Non-Executive Director. He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of HABIBMETRO since 2015.
Between 2012 and 2016, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of HBZ Bank Limited, a subsidiary of Habib Bank AG Zurich in South Africa. Prior to joining Habib Bank AG Zurich in 1996, Mohamedali R. Habib spent 10 years in the corporate sector, holding various executive and board-level positions.
He graduated with a degree in Business Management (Finance) from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA, in 1987. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in General Management from the Stanford-NUS Executive Program and is a Certified Director accredited by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
