Anjum Iqbal has been a member of General Management at Habib Bank AG Zurich since 2016. He is also the Regional Head of Emerging Markets at Habib Bank AG Zurich, Switzerland. Additionally, he serves as a Non-Executive Director and a member of Board Audit Committee and Board Risk Committee at HBZ Bank Ltd, South Africa.
Anjum Iqbal joined Habib Bank AG Zurich in late 2008 as the President & CEO of HABIBMETRO (Habib Bank AG Zurich’s subsidiary in Pakistan)—a role that he stayed in till 2012. From 2012 till 2015, he served as the CEO of Habib Bank AG Zurich’s UK operations.
Before joining Habib Bank AG Zurich, Anjum Iqbal worked with Citigroup for over 30 years, holding various senior management positions across different regions, including Pakistan, Greece, Lebanon, Venezuela, Turkey, Belgium, South Africa, UAE, and the UK. In his last role with Citigroup, he was Managing Director and was responsible for the EMEA Commercial Banking Group in London.
Anjum Iqbal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Karachi and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Pakistan.
