In the August 2025 edition of Gulf Business, titled UAE Tops the Global Race for Millionaire Migration, the UAE has emerged as the world’s leading destination for millionaires relocating from abroad, according to a report by Henley & Partners. According to Sheheryar Rasul, CEO of Group Wealth Management at Habib Bank AG Zurich, “We see continued growth in the Dubai International Financial Centre, as it becomes the epicentre of client activity. To this effect, we opened our DIFC branch back in 2022 to improve and enhance our client engagement.”
The country’s appeal lies in its zero income tax, pro-business environment, political stability, strong healthcare and education systems, efficient residency options such as the Golden Visa, and its high quality of life supported by robust infrastructure, luxury real estate, and advanced financial services. Dubai’s ultra-high-net-worth individual population has more than doubled over the past decade, while countries such as the UK face net outflows of wealthy residents due to restrictive visa regimes and tax changes.
