Position Summary
Habib Bank AG Zurich is seeking motivated and skilled Software Engineers (Java) to join its Software Development team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications that support critical banking and digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design & develop Java apps using OOP principles, Work with SQL & NoSQL databases, Participate in code reviews & follow best practices, Troubleshoot, debug & optimise performance
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps & Infrastructure, Support deployments & maintain documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Software Engineering or Computer Science from a top reputable university, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0
- Role‑based software development experience: 2-5 years of experience
Skills & Certifications
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with hands‑on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, and working knowledge of Angular
- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, with a solid grasp of OOP concepts and data structures
- Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage, and experience in banking or financial systems is a plus
Experience Required
Fresh graduates 2-5 years of experience, (role based experience levels apply)
