Documentation Specialist

Position Summary

 

Habib Bank AG Zurich is seeking an experienced Documentation Specialist to develop and maintain high quality technical and user documentation for software applications and systems. The role acts as a bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all software documentation within a banking environment.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Create & update technical, functional & user documentation
  • Develop guides, manuals, API & process docs
  • Collaborate with dev, BA & QA teams
  • Document applications with UI/UX focus
  • Align documentation with SDLC (Jira, Git)
  • Ensure accuracy, versioning & compliance
  • Support audits, training & knowledge transfer
  • Maintain standards, templates & repositories

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field from a reputable university
  • 3–5 years of experience in documentation or technical writing roles
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the banking sector

Skills & Certifications

 

  • MBA or Master’s in an IT-related field
  • Proven experience in technical writing / software documentation
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, tools & development processes
  • Familiarity with Python, Java or JavaScript is a plus
  • Experience documenting UIs, systems & workflows
  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Excellent written English communication skills
  • Enterprise / regulated environment experience is an advantage

 

Experience Required

 

3–5 years total experience, including minimum 2+ years of banking experience
